3 Blazers Everyone Should Own
To say I’m obsessed with blazers is an understatement. In my opinion, it’s the easiest way to change up an outfit and make it feel more refined and put together. Even with jeans, and a pair of sneakers, a blazer will always elevate an outfit.
This fall I’m finding myself gravitating more towards the oversized fit. Taking into consideration that I’m being more conscious these days about keeping a well-curated closet, I have to say that I’m impressed at how this particular piece of clothing has made my existing wardrobe feel more current.
Earlier in the season, I picked up two of the same fit from Zara, one in black and camel (for $139 CAD each), and as you can see from this post, I can’t get enough of them. If you guys are in the same boat as me and don’t want to add unnecessary clutter to your wardrobe, I highly recommend picking one of these up for yourselves.
WHAT I’M WEARING: ZARA, Blazer. SWEATER, Acne Studios. PANTS, Aritzia. SHOES, Veja. BAG, Louis Vuitton, Empreinte Leather Monogram Bumbag.
THE BLACK OVERSIZED BLAZER
If there’s any piece of clothing that you should be investing in, it’s a black blazer. It’s one of those pieces that you’ll always reach for in your closet and will be appropriate for work, on a date night with your partner, dinner with friends, and on those casual days when you want to feel pulled together, but still want rock a pair of jeans and sneakers.
PLAID OVERSIZED BLAZER
I love a good plaid blazer and for the fall season, and I’ll opt for wool to keep me warm during those chilly days. My favorite way to wear plaid is with either a matching pant or leather paper bag trouser for a more badass look. Either way, you can’t go wrong with this classic.
Opt for a grey or brown color combo if you want something that will go with everything in your closet, or go for pops of color, or a bold, large plaid pattern if you’re looking to make a statement.
CAMEL OVERSIZED BLAZER
Camel is another core item you’ll want to add to your closet if you don’t already have it. The combination of black and camel looks seriously fierce. Camel also looks very elegant when paired with neutral tones like white, off white or light grey.
STYLE TIP: If there’s a blazer that you happen to like but it’s not oversized fit, simply go up a size or two to get the look. It’s what I did with my camel Zara blazer and I get loads of comments on it on Instagram.
